Well Bob is correct those switches are documented. I am not sure now what document I was looking at yesterday which seemed to be missing this information. I have 3.7.1224 installed on several systems as I experiment and learn the details and I thought I had checked the CHM carefully prior to posting.
I would note that the examples at the bottom of the "Harvest Tool (Heat)" document, both CHM and http://wix.sourceforge.net/manual-wix3/heat.htm, have the -template:fragment formating.
