I think the issue you are having is going from a tutorial on the internet which is from a different version of Wix that what you are using. If you want to customize a BA, I would always start with files sourced from the RTM version which matches that which you are using to build your bundle. In the grand scheme of things, Burn is still evolving and is younger than the MSI portion of WiX.
If you find a task difficult and undocumented but have succeeded at accomplishing your goal, you are more than welcome to contribute to the documentation of WiX. -----Original Message----- From: darbid [mailto:davidbo...@gmx.de] Sent: Sunday, April 13, 2014 10:10 AM To: wix-users@lists.sourceforge.net Subject: Re: [WiX-users] Phantom Text in Custom Theme.xml To anyone else reading this post. Finding a post or tutorial that tells you the FULL story on how to do this Theme stuff is impossible. It seems to me that Wix is written by and for experts and they jump alot of stuff. I wish you good luck. Any one who does get the right files, and copy them to the right place and then them loading stay well away from the attributes "HideWhenDisabled" and "visible" of any of the Elements in a Theme/Page unless either you know from the internet what they do or the wix.chm file has been change from Wix 3.8 to give a better explanation what they do or the implications of using them. -- View this message in context: http://windows-installer-xml-wix-toolset.687559.n2.nabble.com/Phantom-Text-in-Custom-Theme-xml-tp7593378p7594093.html Sent from the wix-users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Put Bad Developers to Shame Dominate Development with Jenkins Continuous Integration Continuously Automate Build, Test & Deployment Start a new project now.
