OK, here is an example, this is clamav-devel freebsd port: http://www.freshports.org/security/clamav-devel And here is the place files are available to download: http://www.clamav.net/snapshot/ How you can see, it's periodically updated using daily snapshots clamav team make available. They keep last 20 files always available and delete old ones. I disagree with you when you say to don't porting other than the Official release, making a windowmaker-devel port on collection is a good way to have more people testing the changes and giving a feedback, many problems could be found before official version is released and the final release could be better.
