Hello,
I don't have time to do this for now, but I have several ideas to better
handle the icons. At least they will be archived on the list if no one
has time to implement them:
* When an application has several icons of different size, wmaker should
take the biggest (smaller than the icon size as set in WPres). For
example, gnome-terminal or iceweasel icons are 16x16, but I guess these
applications can provide bigger icons.
* Icons sent by openoffice.org have a display problem (noise around the
icon). Is it a bug in wmaker or in openoffice.org?
* Icons (sent by a running application, or used when the application is
closed) should be smoothed when the icon size is set to something
different from 64x64 (this is becoming common with high-res laptop
screens). Currently they are scaled with RScaleImage, maybe the
RSmoothScaleImage function might be helpful here? If some icons are
rasterized before being displayed, this should be directly done to the
correct size.
Again, sorry for not having time now, but I'm sure these ideas are worth
implementing! Please don't hesitate to ask for clarifications.
Regards,
Nicolas
