Last thing I know is that John H. Robinson expected to have more
time for maintainership in the now and planned to merge bugfixes
into the official repo. I do not know about the estimated time
frame for this.

I personally use my auto builds and have been happily running
the HEAD of the 'next' branch for several months now.
