oh, but i can. happens with wmaker-crm and with the debian packaged 0.92 too.

happens all the time with games running on wine. i can name
civilization 4 and starcraft 2, both trigger a wmaker restart when the
screen resolution changes, but if i set the games to run at native
resolution (1330x800 in my notebook), the restart doesn't happen.

the screen resolution change at X startup Johann described may very
well be an nvidia stuff, it doesn't happen on my ATI, but wmaker
restarting with resolution changes happens with me too.

weird detail, when using ATI's control pannel (amdcccle), it doesn't
happen. when using this tool to set up dual monitors and/or
resolution, if i increase it, the dock that usually sits at the right
edge of my screen, after switching res. it then stays a certain
distance from it.

is there a way to log each and every signal received by wmaker ? if
so, i can run some tests and send the log.
