Hi everyone, I received some feature requests from a user who downloaded 0.95.5 from my Ubuntu PPA. They look like great ideas, so I figured I'd forward them to the list.
Have a good one, Doug From: Len Trigg [mailto:len...@gmail.com] Sent: Monday, December 02, 2013 5:22 PM To: Torrance, Douglas Subject: Re: wmaker 0.95.5 for 12.04? Seems to work fine now, thanks! I used to use window maker about 15-20 years ago and thought I'd check it out again. Mostly it's good, but there are a few areas that could do with improvement to fit in better with modern distros, e.g. it should be possible to easily make a dock/clip icon from any .desktop file, and it really needs support for svg icons. It also seems quite fiddly/error-prone trying to get dock icons that launch multiple copies of an app, e.g. I'm trying to make a dock icon that runs "nemo --no-desktop" to open a new file manager window every time I click on it, but even though I've set the window attributes to "no application icon" it doesn't let me spawn multiple copies. Cheers, Len.
