        Hi all,

I'm using WM-crm with Ubuntu 11.04 with great success, but
        having minor
issues with KDE programs menus eventually disappearing,
and a very annoying lack of support for PNG and TIFF icons, only XPM
        icons are being read.

        compilation output was:

checking for png_get_valid in -lpng... no
checking for png_get_valid in -lpng... no
checking for jpeg_destroy_compress in -ljpeg... yes
        checking jpeglib.h usability... yes
        checking jpeglib.h presence... yes
        checking for jpeglib.h... yes
checking for DGifOpenFileName in -lungif... no
checking for DGifOpenFileName in -lgif... no
        checking gif_lib.h usability... no
        checking gif_lib.h presence... no
        checking for gif_lib.h... no
checking for TIFFGetVersion in -ltiff... no
checking for TIFFGetVersion in -ltiff... no
checking for TIFFGetVersion in -ltiff34... no

Window Maker was configured as follows:

        Installation path prefix : /usr/local
Installation path for binaries : /usr/local/bin
        Installation path for WPrefs.app : /usr/local
Supported graphic format libraries : XPM JPEG builtin-PPM
Antialiased text support in WINGs : yes
        Xinerama extension support : no
        XRandR extension support : no
Translated message files to install : None

I have all libraries related to tiff gif and png from Ubuntu, and
didn't find -ltiff34, gif_lib.h, or -lpng with synaptic.

What could be lacking for Windowmaker-crm to use tiffs and gifs
        and pngs?

        Thanks for any advice

and thanks all users and developers for maintainig WM alive.
This is very important to me, as I'm using Windowmaker as my unique
interface since 1996, (with Conectiva Linux), and was almost
        changing to
Unity because wm 0.92 was not integrating well with gnome.
I think Unity is so inspired in Windowmaker and Nextstep that I
        feel at
        home using it.
        But happier now with WM-crm...

        cheers
        Juliano
