Hi, Sean I can only comment on docker - it's the only one in your list that I have used.
Docker works well as a substitute for wmsystemtray. It can only hold 4 trayed icons per instance, so if you know you will normally have 5 or more you'll need to autostart a couple of instances when you start Window Maker. Docker needs to be started with the -wmaker option to create a 64x64 tile. Having used it for a long time, I can say that it does what it was designed to do very well - I have experienced no problems at all. If you open 2 or 3 instances from the autostart file, one thing you will notice is that trayed icons can and do show up more-or-less randomly across all of your open docker instances. So for example, if I open volumeicon and wicd-gtk via autostart, I may or may not get both falling in the same docker tile. Hope this helps, and yes, I agree - a default system tray app (my vote goes to wmsystemtray BTW) would a great addition to the default Window Maker line-up. Some kind of system tray is pretty much indispensable nowadays. Bill -- To unsubscribe, send mail to [email protected].
