Hello All,
I have been experimenting with this issue seeing if I can find a cause.
Since this was a new install I was not worrying about messing anything up.
Eventually after trying a few things I decided to rebuild the system from
scratch, the problem still persisted with the same errors above.
Messed around more and then eventually decided to again rebuild from scratch.
This time I instead specified the “vesa” driver in Xorg configuration instead
of the “nv” driver.
The flickering display of the menu is no longer a problem, though the above
errors still appear when I exit to the command line.
Decided to rebuild again and this time I built the system with the official
nvidia driver and used that in my Xorg configuration.
Again, the menu is displaying properly, and I still see the above notices when
I quit to a command line.
So perhaps there is an issue of some sort centering around the “nv” driver?
I still cannot explain the command line appearance of the syntax errors above
when quitting Windowmker to the terminal.
Right now I do not wish to rebuild the system again and test what would happen
if I was to go back to the “nv” driver.
Have Fun,
Sean
