To depress everyone further, Citadel Broadcasting (current owner of what used to be ABC Radio, and all of the old ABC Radio stations including WABC New York, WLS Chicago, WMAL Washington, WBAP Dallas, KABC Los Angeles, KGO San Francisco and others) closed the day at a share price of ONE PENNY<http://www.google.com/finance?q=cdl> .
Starting tomorrow, the stock will move from the NYSE to the Pink Sheets. In peripheral news, Gannett (parent of my station here in Atlanta and USA Today) closed the day at $2.11 a share. The week I started in 2005, it was $72 a share. And in not-so-peripheral news, Citigroup closed the day just above a buck while it touched 97 cents at one point today. Hell. It's almost cheaper to buy a share of Gannett stock than it is to buy the Sunday edition of one of our papers. Just damn. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "World News Now Discussion List" group.
