Must pull myself away from this....,my intent this afternoon was to spend a couple of hours reading "Team Of Rivals" and pondering the differences between that time and this. The mind boggles. Some of the greatest, nation-shaping oratory of American history was delivered to crowds of <1,000 people, but faithfully reported in the many newspapers of time time.
