Today on WNN, we once again saw that anchovies rank at the bottom of pizza toppings.
I've found that combining them with TOMATOES and ONIONS (what I call the GOLDEN TRIO) tends to counteract the saltiness of the anchovies, and allows the extreme UMAMI of the anchovies to enhance the vegetables.
