[ http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/WODEN-71?page=comments#action_12448281 ] Jeremy Hughes commented on WODEN-71: ------------------------------------
In my mind there are three options: Jakarta Commons Logging (JCL), log4j or JSR-47. This article describes plenty of reasons not to use JCL [1] and this one (admittedly written by the founder of log4j) describes why log4j is the thing to use. [1] http://www.qos.ch/logging/thinkAgain.jsp [2] http://www.ingrid.org/jajakarta/log4j/jakarta-log4j-1.1.3/docs/critique.html +1 for log4j > Logging Strategy and Implementation for Woden > --------------------------------------------- > > Key: WODEN-71 > URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/WODEN-71 > Project: Woden > Issue Type: New Feature > Components: Parser > Reporter: Graham Turrell > > Woden currently does not use a logging reporting framework. A suitable > framework should be agreed upon. Apache log4j is proposed. > One immediate application for the framework would be reporting all candidate > URI's that pass through the Woden URI Resolver. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
