John, We should aim for Woden to implement all the assertions listed in the spec (parts 1 and 2). This is orthogonal to the Test Suite which is incomplete [1] in terms of assertion coverage.
We can create WSDL 2.0 documents that violate the assertions and contribute them where the new WG starts up. I suggest we use the same format and layout as the W3C Test Suite and then submit a patch. Problems can still be reported via the W3C Bugzilla. As he says, the W3C WS working group is closed and their infrastructure (including the desc CVS project) is closed. Hopefully by September, a new W3C Web Services Core working group will be established to manage the test suite and handle spec errata. So as we work towards M8 during August we cannot contribute to the WSDL 2.0 assertions test suite nor resolve any assertion issues in the spec. We can still create new testcases to contribute later, but they won't become part of any regression baseline (i.e. Dashboard) until the WS Core WG is up and running. The release criteria for M8 is to complete WSDL 2.0 compliance by fully supporting the assertions. It might be difficult to claim success on this until we have a complete assertion test suite and resolution to any assertion issues with the spec. regards, John Kaputin Unless stated otherwise above: IBM United Kingdom Limited - Registered in England and Wales with number 741598.
