Arthur, IANAL .... when Tomi attached the zip, he checked the box next to the
words:
Grant license to ASF for inclusion in ASF works (as per the Apache License ยง5)
Contributions intended for inclusion in ASF products (eg. patches, code) must
be licensed to ASF under the terms of the Apache License. Other attachments
(eg. log dumps, test cases) need not be.
He also has an ICLA listed [1]. So it's now ok to commit the code Tomi has
contributed into the ASF SVN. In doing so it's also ok to remove the copyright
notices and add the Apache License. Tomi of course continues to have copyright
to the code he always has had copyright to, nothing's changed in that respect.
If Tomi wishes, we can add a section in the NOTICE file to recognise Tomi's
contribution.
