Attendees: Arthur Ryman, Lawrence Mandel, John Kaputin Minutes
1. Open Action Items - Lawrence Mandel 2008-04-29 - John will update the build publish information to include information about publishing Maven components. 2008-05-13 John: No update. Lawrence: The location for the maven repo is /www/people.apache.org/repo/m2-ibiblio-rsync-repository and the distribution directory is /www/www.apache.org/dist/ws/woden, both on people.apache.org. 2008-06-03 John: No progress. 2008-06-24 John: No progress. I've been catching up with Woden issues. 2008-07-08 John: No progress. 2008-05-13 - John will close the M8 plan and create the M9 plan with July 15 as the target date. 2008-06-03 John: No progress. Lawrence: I closed M8 in Jira and rolled all the incomplete items into M9. 2008-06-24 John: No progress. I'll get on this now that I have my access back. 2008-07-08 John: I'm working through the open Jiras and sizing some of the issues. I should have a plan ready by the end of the week. 2. Milestone 9 (M9) - John/Lawrence John: The M9 plan will be available by this weekend. 3. Development Discussion - All John: I've committed Sagara's latest patches for WODEN-65. There are a few outstanding items and then I'll merge with HEAD. Lawrence: I suggest we merge once it's in a useable state. It doesn't have to be perfect before it's made available in HEAD. John: I have some work to do on fixing the inconsistency in the validator's handling of extensibility elements then we can ask for some help with the assertions. Lawrence: How about creating an extension mechanism that allows a contribution of a tree walker for an extension namespace? This should allow the validation logic to stay separated from the validation framework. Arthur: Extensions don't need to be physically present in the document. An extension may say that you need an even number of interfaces without adding any markup to the document. Lawrence: Woden already supports this use case. Validators for the rules can be added when creating the Woden parser. Arthur: Where are we with the equals method? John: I think isEquivalentTo will work and should be clearer than overriding equals. Arthur: I think equals is stronger than isEquivalentTo. equals is really about object equivalence. As well, the concept of equivalence only applies to components. John: WODEN-209 is open for this issue. I'll do some work in a branch and open for review. Arthur: What's the issue with the two apis? John: There is a difference between the description element and component but most of the other components and elements are pretty similar. There's an API review page on the wiki. 4.
