Enric/Lawrence, I believe Matt Duftler wrote up a document of differences. He did that as part of the WSDL 1.1 to WSDL 2.0 converter.

At any rate, I haven't seen any tool to convert WSDL 2.0 to WSDL 1.1. Woden contains a converter to go from WSDL 1.1 to 2.0. Axis2 [1] can generate both WSDL 1.1 and WSDL 2.0 so there may be something there that would be useful. There are a number of incompatibilities between WSDL 1.1 and 2.0. Far too many to list here. A few notable ones include interface inheritance [2], much improved support for HTTP bindings [3], and replacement of the top level message element with the interface message reference [4].
