Just arrived from a 5-day visit of other unknown sitios of Polilio. Going there by bancas from Real and back was not all pleasant, the waves are bigger than usual, this is the first time I tried exploring the non-flying route (Rosario Pasig-Tanay- Siniloan-Real-Polilio). I visited a sitio named Guinaygayan, a 2 hours forest walk from Bgy. Patnanungan. This is the fist time I saw a natural beehive (twice the size of ordinary pillow) hanging in our pathway, a quicksand in the middle of the jungle (those familiar Tarzan scenes), eat strange food with those high school students whose weekly routine is to spend weekends at their hometown and before going back they need to catch fish as their "baon" that will sustain them for another week. An average family lives on a P30 a day income, husband and wife and the kids share an anahaw house with no door but only curtains that separate their only bedroom, while we try to define poverty this sitio has already memorized it. Spiritual and physical health is really needed, we are praying that we can put a station there and really sustain it, attending to the medical needs of 500 families is a big really challenge for us not only in terms of dedication but of resources.
