Subject: [worldchangers2010] my thoughts

thought of sharing this thing that i wrote yesterday, after lunch i got inspired
after 2 shots of espresso hehehe....

This morning I was speaking to a good friend who was having marital problems.
“Try not to focus on the negative and always look for the goodness in your
husband’s heart. Even if he may do things which you don’t agree with..” I
advised her.

Over lunch, my colleagues and I were discussing the meeting which had just
transpired in the morning and the topic shifted to an unpopular officemate.
This person had a not-so-good track record and yet has managed to stay afloat
for several years. “ I hope that he realizes his mistakes and make an attempt
to changer for the better” I said. To which another colleague quipped ”I’ve
known him for several years, he will never change”. I thought to myself, how
hopeless that must have sounded if that was said about me.

I would be devastated! (Nothing against the person who said this)..It would be
all the more terrible if we had a God who thought that way – as we start to ask
for forgiveness for our sins - who could just as easily tell us, that – “Oh no.
Based on your track record, you have always given in to this kind of temptation
and no way am I gonna trust that you can change this time!” or “Hmm, since this
is the 126th time you’ve done this I don’t know anymore how I could forgive
you..”

The bible says that “if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive
and cleanse us from all unrighteousness”.. .I have always believed that God
expects the best from us - despite knowing our many weaknesses.

The God that we serve, is cheering us on – especially when we are faced with
the hardest of troubles or most appealing temptations.

It’s difficult to try to effect change, if people in your environment expect
the worst from you. There is a huge tendency to work the way you are expected
to. This holds true for anyone – whether our children, our subordinates, our
spouses, bosses, the management…

I guess what I learned today is to always take the higher road, believe in
people even if they have failed you so many times. The same way that God
believes in me. I realized that though I may have thought that way sometimes
– I still have a tendency to think ill of some people, to make quick judgments
and stick to those cruel judgments for as long as I like…

Amazing that in our heart of hearts,God can still find some corrupted motives,
no matter how hard we try to hide or deny it. And yet His love remains
unchaged...

One song comes to mind whenever think about this -

 "Indescribable, uncontainable
You placed the stars in the sky and
You know them by name
You are amazing, God
Incomparable, untamable,
You see the depths of my heart yet You love me the same.
You are amazing, God."
