Hi,
I have a request for any non-developper that would like to contribute
something. I'm considering posting this to the forum also. Other Wormux
contributors, if you think something below should be clarified, please
go ahead.
In addition to the current image for controls, I'd like to add the
following screens:
- in game: may be hard to cram all in only image, but having a
mine+barrel+bonus box+ammo box+weapon target crosshair+chat+... to
describe them would be good
- maybe be split current controls image into 1 image for keyboard and 1
for mouse
- network connection menu, up to 3 images: start a server, join a game
(maybe having one game with the official servers and another passworded
to see the lock), map/team selection (with people discussing)
Images should be around 800x600, have the same kind of text boxes
overlaid as in current help image. The actual help text strings should
be provided as :
{ "Exploding barrel", 500, 300 }
{ "Box giving 25 health", 279, 140 }
with the two last numbers the approximate coordinates of the text box
that should contain the string.
Help strings should be in French or English to allow easier translation
for us.
I think all this should be contributed under at least the GPL or
whatever license we use for data-src, but ideally, in the public domain
to allow us any modification of the data you'd provide.
