Why not just add the language name to the translation strings, like
this:
AddLanguageItem(_("French (Français)"),"fr");
AddLanguageItem(_("German (Deutsch)"),"de");
The names in braces are not subject to be translated. Or:
AddLanguageItem(_("fr"),"fr");
...
Pro: Auto-generation of languages list possible.
Contra: Must give translators a hint how to translate.
PS: zh-TW is often referred to trad. chinese, the very right code would
be zh-Hant for trad. and zh-Hans for simpl. chinese. (Four letter
abbreviations are indicating the wrtiting system).
PPS: We should probably change the font for language menu, because
dejavu does not support chinese characters yielding in some boxes.
