2. Recent Changes seems to show a bunch of weird characters for new
users. Reported this yesterday via "Report a site bug".
I don't know about the weird characters (they don't show up in Chrome) but
the user registrations are a side effect of an upgrade to Mediawiki. (per
request on the list.)
Hmm, looks okay in IE6 also. Here's screenshot from Firefox 3.0.5 with the
characters:
