I think we're all (myself included) treating the nightly builds as a beta release. In short: they're not. I think our best course of action is to discuss larger problems/enhancements that we think aren't where they should be, and ignore the small details until there's a beta release.
And by "we", of course, I mean those of us without "Commit" permissions. Am I off base here?
