Hey sorry I didn't follow up with an additional post. I had to chmod
644 profiles.xml, hosts.xml, and packages.xml, then all was well.

dir \\roark\wpkg\
and
type \\roark\wpkg\wpkg.js
work from cmd?
If not, check your Samba logs, and make sure you use correct credentials.
