Indeed, yes. But: 1) currently i'm not using credentials to access the 'wpkg server' (guest access) 2) this will lead to an error (ok, logged, not displayed, but...), while the 'server signature' it is a more polite solution... 3) it is a more 'secure' solution: a protable system moved in an external/strange network where there's a WPKG setup colud be forced to install/remove something... (ok, will have to match server names, path, credential... it is more like impossible, but could happen). Clearly, my two cent. ;) -- dott.
