Summary: Invalid pointer error
Product: WPKG installer
Version: 0.90
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Windows XP
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: WPKG installer
AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Hello again.
My problems were being compounded by an installer that was waiting for input.
It turns out this package was wpkg installer, using the stuff from:
http://wpkg.org/index.php/WPKG
when updating its settings, wpkginst reports "Error occurred while reading
parameters from settings file: Invalid pointer", and requires somebody push the
"OK" button in order to continue.
Looking at the source code this seems to suggest that there was an error
interpreting one of the parameters (wpkginst.cpp line 170) - it would be good if
wpkginst could give some clue or hint as to which parameter it had problems
with...
As far as I can tell, the settings file looks valid, although I will continue
investigating.
Thanks.
