Be careful about strange samba-t-shirt suited guys that ring at your

I'm a bit lost in this thread, but, for completeness, to have samba use
the guest access you have to:
+ create the guest user
+ define it with
guest account = username
+ map explicitly unknown user to the guest account:
map to guest = Bad User
+ define the share as 'guest ok' or 'guest only'
+ set the permission on file (UNIX or ACL) as 'guest user can read'
So it is all but a 'client' options...
