perhaps you really shouldn't use this old Wpkg version (dated 2006). Instead, try the recent stable version from http://wpkg.org/Download. Be sure to test carefully with your hosts/profiles/packages xmls before you use it in a production environment. And don't forget to use a recent config.xml file for configuration.
