I have a batch of new Windows 7 computers I am setting up.
However when
I setup wpkg on the clients they are not pulling the profiles I setup
for them. They all are getting the default packages. I have
poured over
the logs but I cannot seem to find anything wrong. I am using wpkg
client x64 1.3.9 and wpkg.js 1.2. I have this working for previous
installs so it is either something on these pc's or something
has broken
on the wpkg machine. Where can I look to see why it is pulling the
default instead of the users xml file?

WPKG 1.2.0 has a broken profile matching.

Use the latest release candidate of WPKG 1.2.1, which has this corrected.

I am currently running "WPKG 1.2.1-RC7" without problems.

Thanks for that. I have searched the site for anything labeled as 1.2.1-XXX and only find the 1.2.0 file. Could you kindly send a link to the proper wpkg.js? ------------------------------------------------------------------------- wpkg-users mailing list archives >> http://lists.wpkg.org/pipermail/wpkg-users/

Strike that. I found the 1.2.1-RC7 file link in the mail list. Sorry for the noise.

Ok, so I have wpkg working on almost all the new pc's except a handfull. Those that won't work keep installing the default package list instead of the one that I explicitly told it to install using it's hostname. Is there anywhere I can look in wpkg, samba, or on the pc to see what profile it is trying to pull? I have even gone as far as removing the wpkg.xml from the c:\windows\system32 and formatting and reinstalling the OS.
