HISTORY
While researching the superstitions of the Wabuzi tribe in Africa, a small-town teacher finds to his horror that the small idols he's seen from their tribe represent a real, living large monster named Kraa. Kraa explains that he was once a normal member of the tribe before being caught in a atomic testing explosion. The teacher, realizing that Kraa must be in terrible pain, offers an ointment he brought with him to soothe the burning. Grateful, and surprised that "Teach" has been more caring towards him than other foreigners, Kraa is obligated to help the man when a giant python attacks him. In the melee, Kraa and the snake both fall to their deaths. The teacher then returns to America, only to find that the Wambuzi tribe has begun to erect idols and statues in his likeness. Kraa, or rather a larger monster resembling him, was among the monsters summoned by the Mole Man to greet Adam Warlock upon his arrival on Monster Island.
