Join First Amendment Plaintiff Mary Beth Tinker, Tinker v. Des Moines School
District, U.S. Supreme Court, 1969 for the third annual Judicial Institute.
Federal judges that you read about in the paper will make presentations on the
Constitution, federal judiciary and federal issues including civil rights and
federal sentencing. Teachers will have a chance to view and discuss actual
federal court hearings - sentencing, plea entries, and search warrants. In
addition, teachers will work with interactive lesson plans as well as develop
their own lesson plan to enable immediate implementation in the classroom.
Clock hours, pending. The federal court will pay for a private hotel room at
the Westin Hotel, parking, meals and mileage. Download application at
