We are running OpenWrt kamikaze quite nicely on it (atheros wifi nics
under madwifi + mesh-routing with olsrd). There is also meshnode linux,
a debian devirat.
OpenWrt gives you a complete flashable disk image with prepared
partitions, grub bootloader and is using ipkg as package tool.
