I have just bought WS_FTP having successfully used the evaluation software in the past on the same computer. But whatever I do I just cannot connect to my site. I have tried both with passive transfer ticked and unticked. This is the message I receive when I try and load my site:

Host type (1): Automatic detect And I have even tried to find out what I am doing wrong by following the WS_FTP Connections Tutorial. I end up with this following message: Finding Host tutorial.ftpplanet.com ... Connecting to 156.21.1.101:21 Connect failure I have been connected to the internet at the time. There must be something very fundamental that I am doing wrong, but I can't find out what it is! Puzzled Charlotte Knox
