My thought: they have no idea how hard it is to introduce a new tag.
What exactly is hard about introducing a new element? Browser vendors
have done it with hundreds of proprietary extensions in the past.
What's different about doing it now, especially now that these new
elements are being standardised and will be implemented by several major
browsers relatively soon?
