I recommend <http://zenphoto.org/>. Not sure about register_globals, but it excels on every level. Doesn't do tags yet, but seems to be in the works. The latest, 1.0, features even more things than I've worked with yet—working with a pre-1.0 somewhere—and is still very lightweight. HTH -Rob.
