Hi folks, Just wondering what you think about form usability scenarios for drop-downs for countries.
I currently maintain a database of countries which is displayed alphabetically in a form drop-down. To save the user having to scroll, I'm considering repeating "common" countries at the top of the drop-down (as I've seen in use elsewhere), but I'm not sure how accessible that would be. Alternatively, I'm thinking of defaulting to USA - the site I'm working on has an international focus. I would prefer not to use javascript.
