Guys, We have asked that meta discussion go directly to the admin group, rather than bogging down the list.
That said - while I agree with the sentiment, it is a software based problem. At the moment we are receiving generous free service from webboy. Webboy uses particular technologies and with a technolofgy choice there come limits. Certainly, Yahoo may have it under control, but last time I looked we weren't seeing any ads on this list (shhhhh! Peter isn't looking is he? ;)) Sadly, its a case of you get what you pay for, and while we all get the list for free I don't really think it is productive to complain about its features or lack thereof. There is, of course, now a forum-based alternative at http://forum.webstandardsgroup.org/ which should surely be free of OOO messages. So! Back to our regular standards based discussion. All discussion of this topic should go to the list admins - see the contact details below :) Lea -- Lea de Groot WSG Core Group On Thu, 16 Aug 2007 10:44:26 -0700, Chris Williams wrote: > My point is, there must be a software solution to this in the mailing > list software.
