I noticed your images are pretty large. Are you on a slow bandwidth connection like dial up? I know IE gives up if something doesn't download within a specific time period (I believe it is 60 seconds by default - could be wrong about the default). You could try bringing your images into PhotoShop or similar package and "save for web". I took one image and reduced it to less 1/10th it's original size with no loss in quality.
