Personally, I would prefer additional options to view the paintings, such as thumbnails where the user can select specific paintings. Optimise that by all means. Design is clean, nice chunky, prodabble buttons which is cool, but not sure of the navigation paradigm from usability perspective (couldn't test for longer as it was taking ages for each page).
