OK in a Debug configured build tree set the following CMake options 
(e.g. using cmake-gui or edit CMakeCache.txt):

WSJT_QDEBUG_TO_FILE=ON
WSJT_TRACE_CAT=ON
WSJT_HAMLIB_TRACE=ON

If you want to use a Release configured build then you would need to 
also set:

WSJT_QDEBUG_IN_RELEASE=ON

If you have and old wsjtx_trace.log in the install bin folder, delete it.

Rebuild, install, run test to demonstrate behaviour and, close application.

Send wsjtx_trace.log (in the install bin folder) to me for analysis.
