Hello All,

This is a update on where things stand with the migration of
JTSDK-{Win32,Nix) from WSJT SF Project to then new JTSDK SF Project.

There are many updates pending, many of which will be pushed out over
the next week or two, some are minor, some major. Below is a brief
summary of what will be changing:

NOTE: All JTSDK related activity should be considered development or
bleeding edge. If you want / need stable release builds, use the formal
release(s) from the WSJT website. Testing is always appreciated, but
expect issues to crop up from time to time and support can be very
limited. Bare that in mind when a rare DXCC country pop's up on the
radar :-)

COMMUNICATION
* All JTSDK development communication should be sent to the WSJT SF
development mailing list for everyone to benefit from and / or assist with.

NEW SITE INFORMATION
WSJT SF >> WSJT Project on SourceForge ( No Change )
JTSDK SF >> JTSDK Project on SourceForge ( New Project Site )
JTSDK SF URL: http://sourceforge.net/projects/jtsdk/

JTSDK-(DOC,PY,QT) v1.0.0 - Original JTSDK
* Short term, no changes are planned.
* Updates will continue until JTSDK v2 formal release
* JTSDK v1 will remain on WSJT SF until it is obsolete, then archived
and moved to JTSDK SF.

DOCUMENTATION BUILDS
* Short term ( next month or so ), no changes planned
* Longer term, documentation sources (.adoc files, images, etc) will be
moved into their respective trunk / branch for applications, as this
allows documentation to track application releases. It also allows
proper Infrastructure Server builds for *Nix as they can be built along
with the application.
* AsciiDoc, its conf files, global files and build scritps will remain
in the WSJT SF repo and pulled into JTSDK v2 as an external resource /
project when building the installers or checking out documentation to
build using JTSDK-DOC v2 (Cyg32)
* All documentation sources, with the exception of JTSDK v2 build / Wiki
files, will remain in WSJT SF.
* JTSDK-DOC v2 build script will require significant updates when moving
source files into application folders. Expect a few bumps in the road
until things get ironed out.

JTSDK v2.0.0-B2 ( Win32 )
* The B2 release will provide a number of significant updates / changes
to B1. Most notably, the source location has moved from WSJT SF to JTSDK
SF. This will require a complete uninstall of B1 / re-install of B2,
unfortunate, but necessary.
* Changes / updates to B1 will halt once B2 has been published.
* Once B2 has been tested, and B3 or a Release Candidate decided upon,
B1 history will be archived and moved to JTSDK SF B1 branch or similar
location. B1 base application files will also be archived on JTSDK SF
* Details of all changes B1 >> B2 will accompany the release of the
installer.

JTSDK v2.0.0 ( *Nix )
* This migration has already taken place. The original source files were
copied from WSJT SF to JTSDK SF a day or so ago and the original files
removed from WSJT SF.
* A number of major updates are planned, and will start being posted
once JTSDK v2 B2 Win32 has been published.
* For those interested in building on Linux, if you can document a full
package list, with respect to your Distro / Version ( where applicable
), package list, special configuraitno items, etc, it would help in
adding them list to the database for use during setup or configure /
make steps. Posting them to the wsjt-devel list is the right place to
send the info.

JTSDK v2.0.0 Wiki Information
* Rather than build a full set off line documents, JTSDK v2.0.0+ will be
using the Wiki system on Sourceforge
* This documentation pertains to building the SDK only. No application
build information will be included.
* The Wiki will track formal releases ( 2.0.0, 2.0.1 and so on ), each
having their own setup of documents ( tags ) pertaining to the build.
* WSJT Application build information will remain in the WSJT SF
dev-guide. The dev-guide will be undergoing a major overhaul pending
formal release of JTSDK v2.0.0.

That's all for now. Have a Happy and Safe Holiday Season.
