The native x86_64 binary you linked to seems to have solved the
long(er) term use degradation I was seeing on my laptop.  I let wsjt-x
run last night with the replaced KVASD executable for about 10 hours,
give or take, without the waterfall freezing.  The decoder was still
going up till around 7am when the last transmission snippets were
received on the band the radio was set to.  When I checked on it again
a few hours later the waterfall was still scrolling.  So I think I'll
say cautiously the Linux issue is solved.

I'll wait and test the Windows version again when the proposed RC3 you
mentioned is released and see if that fixes the "busy" errors and the
few outright crashes I've been seeing on Win 7 x86_64.
