Hello All, Tomorrow is release day (at least it is supposed to be) for Ubuntu 15.10 (Wily Werewolf). This is a short term (6mo) incremental release, EOL is ~JUL-2016. The next Long Term Support (LTS) release is due out in Apr-2016.
Last night I pulled, installed and tested the latest QA ISO, then built all the WSJT Applications. With the exception of the Dialog bug for JTSDK / kvasd-installer (which is now fixed), I did not hit any problems to speak of, though I did not do exhaustive testing. Default Package Versions Of Interest: Cmake.....: 3.2.2 QT........: 5.4.2 GCC.......: 4.5.2 Python3...: 3.4.3 Python2...: 2.7.9 NumPY.....: 1.8.1 Pil.......: 2.9.0 Tk........: 3.4.3 AsciiDoc..: 8.6.9 FFTW......: 3.3.4 I did not hit any walls with regard to packages either missing or having incomparability issues. For the most part, things went rather smooth and uneventful. While I personally would not recommend this release (other than for testing), as it only has 6mo support, there doesn't appear to be any issues with it for any of the WSJT applications. 73's Greg, KI7MT ---------------------------------------------------------------- Launchpad....: https://launchpad.net/~ki7mt Ubuntu Hams..: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-hams-devel Debian Hams..: https://alioth.debian.org/projects/pkg-hamradio/ JTSDK........: https://sourceforge.net/projects/jtsdk/ OpenPGP......: C177 6630 7115 78FE 9A2B 9F7F 18C0 F6B7 0DA2 F991 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ wsjt-devel mailing list wsjt-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/wsjt-devel
