That should be fine. There are sometime problems with audio streams
through a hub where interrupts can go AWOL.
It might be worth trying without the hub or with the rig in a different
USB port. Machines with 4 USB ports normally have two host devices on
the MB, if you have that then the other host device might behave
differently.
Clutching at straws a bit here.
Perhaps raising the error with Apple or Kenwood might be worthwhile.
