Hi Bill,

as decodes are the summary of a whole period of receiving it is not
possible to determine which frequency a decode should be attributed to
if the receiver frequency is changed mid-period. Actually it would be
possible but the programming effort would be considerable for what is a
minor edge case resulting in the occasional inaccurate spot being
posted. Incidentally JTAlert takes the view that decodes in the first
minute after a frequency change are not worth alerting from or posting
to Hamspots. WSJT-X does not take this view and assumes all decodes are
for the frequency set at the end of the period.

With respect to retrying CAT commands, using the direct Hamlib rig
control feature there are many retries before a rig error is reported.
If you are getting a rig control error message then, either the period
of non-responsiveness you are reporting is many seconds long or, there
is an issue with the CAT emulation of PowerSDR. What is the rig control
error message you get when you switch profiles? Specifically what is
show when you click the "Show Details ..." button in the rig control
error message window.
