Hi Pino, the protocol is the same but WSJT-X v1.6.0 does not include many of the features designed to optimize EME operation at the weakest signal levels. WSJT-X v1.6 was not intended for EME use. WSJT-X v1.7 will have almost all of the EME features of WSJT and a few new ones as well. Progress has also been made with JT4, particularly for use with microwave EME.
