HI....Readability ZERO at low angles.... Maybe a little out of topic, but I am sure that in the group there are the right competencies.
The fact: Since few days, at night, with the friend Alberto ZP9SC, we try to do some QSO via TEP on 6m band. We keep in touch via a Telegram chat channel. The band of beacons was silent when I hear something at 50.067 .... looks like CW but I was not able to copy anything...so I advise Alberto... Also Alberto receives the station and he sends me a record from his RX... It was perfectly readable FM1ZAC FK94nh .... Imagine my surprise... I use a 10 El Yagi 15m over ground and Albert a 4 element few meters over the roof. ...at night in the bed I was thinking and thinking ...when I remembered that few days before, on the 29th of August I did 2 QSO at 50.100 with YV stations and it was very difficult to copy their calls... even if the signals were quite good. The same night I did call at 50.276 in JT65 mode and a station did answer to my CQ....but I was not able to decode ... the signal was strong but no decode at all... I ignore who was... after ten or more tentatives we did stop it. I did remember that when I was in the old QTH in San Pedro 5 years ago, I received an upset e-mail from an Ukrainian OM because I did not answer to his call...I was calling in SSB (800W and 10 el 9m O.G.) and somebody did come back to my call...but I was not able to decipher is call. Is there anybody in the group that has had similar experiences ? The kind of distortion makes mi think to multi-path with long delay between them... This might explain also why I did not copy my friends on recent tests of EME and why the few QSO I did in the old QTH where with moon at 20ยบ.
