If you're losing cat control and audio it sounds like you have RF in the shack
causing you to lose USB connections.You could try putting some chokes on the
USB cables.

I have found a solution to get stabe USB-D mode.....it was into the
configuration of WSJT-x...
The real problem is that after few minutes WSJT-X looses the control and
open a window say if I want retry or abandon ...
Also the audio input disappears and the waterfall becomes empty.
Also with fldigi I run in similar problems using RigCAT.
