I know this was discussed here before, but this morning I experienced it
myself, and it is really annoying (and embarrassing). I had manually typed in
a callsign to call a DX station on 160 or 80 meters and hit generate messages.
Concentrating on making sure he was done with his previous station, I finally
hit Enable TX and let it rip. When PTT released, I had two or three other
stations calling me (stateside) right on top of the DX. I moved frequency and
kept calling. I got another response from another stateside station! I moved
again. It was then that I noticed I was calling CQ instead of the station I
thought I was calling!!!

This is really irritating behavior of the program. PLEASE! - let’s have a
switch to prevent this thing from happening. When I hit Generate, I expect TX1
to be active and ready when/if I hit Enable. I don’t care if I have to go to
Settings to do it, I’d like to disable that “feature”.

My apologies to those stateside stations that called this morning and I ignored
them. I was chasing DX and sure didn’t realize at the time I was calling CQ.

And to those stateside stations who, over and over call me when I’m calling CQ
DX, please stop. This happens daily.
